For kids age 5+, with Adults . Minimum class is 5 “kids.” First the “kids” use the apple peeler to peel the apples, next, they roll their own dough and place it in 6” pie pan, then fill the crust with pie makins’. Then the kids learn to roll the top crust, place it on the pie, and crimp the edges. Any leftover dough goes into cookies that they can top with decorations! Their pies and cookies are baked and placed into individual containers for the kids to take home and share! The kids do a great job and are very proud of their accomplishments! They will receive a card designating them an official “Cookin’ Kid” Everything will be baked and packaged to take home for the very proud baker!!

We are going to try a big group visit to Apple Hill this year! It's located about 2 1/2-hours away, near Placerville, California. There are many orchards, farms, candy makers and wineries. You can buy merchandise made of apples, in every imaginable form - Pies, jams, donuts, wines and even soaps. :-/ There are many establishments that offer hay rides, pony rides, u-pick fruits, craft fairs, picnic areas, carnival-type foods to buy. Feel free to wander around before or after our scheduled activities. Alternatively, just drive up the same day and skip anything scheduled. It's your option.

CARPOOL CARAVAN:

We will meet up at 7:00 a.m. at the south end of Reno, Sierra Summit Mall, in the parking lot in front of Jared's Jewelry. We will then caravan through Carson City, and up Highway 50, through a beautiful forest, on our way to Apple Hill. Feel free to meet us there, instead.
