What: Space Academy Field Trip

When: Friday, March 25, from 10-2

Where: National Automobile Museum

Why: A fun-filled learning opportunity put on by the Challenger Learning Center of Northern Nevada. Included is VIP admission to the museum, simulated journeys through space, 360 degree full-dome/full-motion programs, hands-on robotics &science workshops, virtual reality headsets, viewing a Mars Rover, and many other exploration possibilities.

We start the day with a screening of "Journey to Space" (narrated by Sir Patrick Stewart) in the Museum theater, and then start into rotations, breaking kids into different groups so each group size can fit into the areas we have for each activity (Planetarium dome, Advanced SpaceFlight Lab, Lunch, Rugged Rovers Workshop in Classroom).

We are looking at adding a rocketry rotation for 3rd grade and up.
