Outdoor science based field study program for all homeschool groups and students at the Galena Creek Visitor Center!

When: Third Wednesday of the month, 10am to 12pm
Where: Galena Creek Visitor Center
Cost: $5.50 per child (plus small convenience fee), Grades K-12 (Ideal for ages 10 and under)
Parents are free.

The homeschool program used to offer these topics:
May: Wilderness Survival

August:   Water Quality
September: Galena Rocks!
October: Meet Jeff
November: Animal Adaptations
December: Winter Birds of Galena
January: Snow Science
February: Art of Nature
March: Climate Change
April: Insect Planet

A hands-on outdoor educational program. If possible, students will be divided into two groups: Grades K-5 and Grades 6-12.

(This winter, the program was suspended due to lack of enrollment. If we can get 10 people prepaid, we can get them to open it back up for us.)

What to bring: Sunblock, brimmed hat and sunglasses for outdoors, walking/hiking shoes. Don't bother with a stroller, even an off-road stroller. If there is a walk/hike, it will be very rough riding. Strap baby on, or walk with toddlers. Older kids can stay in a big group with the guide.

Bring water and maybe snacks, or a packed lunch.
Baby wipes and hand sanitizer might be good, because they will probably be in the dirt at some point.

REGISTRATION CLOSES at midnight on 5/16/16, after which time NO REFUNDS will be processed.
