OUTDOOR SCIENCE
FIELD STUDY

at GALENA CREEK VISITOR'S CENTER

Galena Creek Visitor Center (off Mt. Rose Hwy) offers a homeschool field day every month. It's recommended (by NNHS moms) for under 12 years old, but all ages are invited. Dress for the weather forecast, with shoes comfortable for walking/hiking. The dirt nature trail is bumpy, so don't bother with a stroller.

Dress in layers. Bring brimmed hat, sunglasses, sunblock, bottled water and a picnic lunch to eat afterward.
